Mitt Romney won the debate graciously. He is a breath of fresh air. What you see is what you get, a decent, honest human being. He will go all the way.
Sorry, typed toooooooo fast for my own good!
God help the United States and the RNC if Mitt becomes President! Running against a liberal woman – you are referring to Shannon O’Brien I assume? Romney won with fewer votes than Weld and Cellucci had and Mitt's razor thin victory was only due to the fact that she tanked in a 12th hour debate also moderated by Matthews. If the Mass GOP is an indicator of Mitt's abilities -please! During his lackluster four years as Governor and head of the Mass GOP he decimated the Party. Massachusetts now has tens of thousands less registered Republicans in the state, less Republican Reps and Senators in the Legislature and for the first time in almost two decades has lost control of the Governor’s office because of his pick to replace him. Is that the leadership you are referring too? No Thanks!!!
Mitt Romney won that debate - by answering questions courteously and intelligently. Mitt Romney will win the nomination, as Gingrich and Thompson have languished too long. Mitt Romney will win the Presidency, as the ONLY GOP candidate with experience running against a liberal woman, and still beating her like a gentleman. And THAT is the truth - it remains to be seen if the organizers here choose to see it.
Let's not forget we still have Fred Thompson and Newt Gingrich...once they're in we'll only be talking about them, McCain and Giuliani.
I could not believe how much abuse Tom Tancredo received from Chris Matthews. He was rarely given sufficient time !! It is clear to me how dangerous The Establishment views Tom Tancredo and his bid for the White House !!!!
McCain was the winner in this crowded program, but not by much. Who was second is unclear as it was so close…Giuliani was good, but Gilmore, Huckabee and Hunter were long on substance. Thompson’s plan for Iraq was right-on and Romney continued to flip and flop, even contradicting himself during the 90 minute program itself. The debate moved too quickly for any one man to state a fully developed point and moderator Chris Matthews was SO biased it wasn’t funny…come on Chris, if you’re going to allow one candidate to go way over their time, then don’t abruptly cut another off! His bias toward Tancredo was pathetic! My ranking would be McCain, Huckabee, with a tie between Gilmore and Giuliani. Safe to say that the Country would be in safe hands with any of those men; including Hunter, Thompson, Brownback and Tancredo… Whoever the nominee is we must work together to ensure that a Democrat is NOT elected in ’08.
