ASK MITT ROMNEY to change his position. That shouldn't be hard. The voters want a change in leadership. I just don't think they want to go where this leader wants to lead us.

He's definately not a true honest conservative. But we are not really sure what he is because he is not true or honest about anything really. While Governor he didn't even stay consistent to his Mormon background (except for his racism.

Who knows if Romney is liberal or conservative- he has positioned himself as both to get elected. I do know one thing though, he is completely deceitful and unethical. He has run the most shameful campaign I've ever seen, lying about his opponents' records to take the spotlight off his own. I do believe he is now the darling of the GOP Establishment. I think they were backing Giuliani but then realized that Giuliani's liberal social beliefs would divide the party, so Mitt is their compromise candidate. I am currently a registered Republican and am so sick and tired of the media, Wall Street, and Washington insiders thinking they can elect our President. It's time we, the people, take our country back. I would rather see Barak Obama as President than Mitt Romney even though I don't agree with Obama on many things. I am supporting Mike Huckabee because he is the only Republican that is honest, holds true convictions and seems more interested in serving the country than serving his political career. If Romney is the nominee I will at least sit out and may just vote Democrat. And I never thought I would vote Democrat!!

Mitt Romney is indeed a true Conservative. Wealthy, religious, unsure about his issues until they land him where he wants to be, and NOT someone I want in office. He meets the credentials.

Where do you come off writing that? I just read their About Us page...I think they state up front who they are. Based on both Federal and Mass law they don't need permission as Republican can't be coined! Who would want to prentend to be the Mass GOP anyway? They haven't won an election or supported the grassroots of the Party for some time now. It's time we got some real leaders in their like we have at the RNC!

Dino - this site is NOT set up by Mass GOP. The people running it are pretending that, but they don't even hae permission to use the NAME Republican.

Mitt would need to get by that group of "power brokers" within the national re-perp-with-gun party to even approach the NOMINATION let alone the presidency itself. (Of course, after our current "regal" denizen of the white house, even MITT might be worth the change...well, NO - we don't want him either)

Republicans, who want to be victorious in 2008, must stop eating their own! Is everyone happy that the liberal social platform of the Dems has won out with the '06 election? Don't get mad, get focussed! Focus on seeing to it that the conservative social & econonic platforms be upheld. This can only be possible if we vote red! Republican candidates would not run in the Republican party if they didn't support the platform of the GOP, correct? Enlighten those voters who think the are Democrat, but who are really conservatives at heart. And today if one is a conservative, their vote should be red! "Unite & Fight!"

Why are some people picking on this group? As a Republican "soccer mom" I think it's great that they are letting people know the facts about where Romney and soon, other candidates stand on the issues. Keep the reports coming!

I'm not too sure yet for the Democrats but I truely love Rudy Guliani (for obvious reasons). Mitt Romney is on waaay too much of a power trip. I somewhat was able to stand him until he went haywire against same-sex marriage in a state that accepts it. For the Democrats, I'm hoping for Obama and even perhaps Joe Biden. Those other good candidates are being overshadowed by Hilary and Obama. I'd really love Gore to come out of the shadows and run for President with Obama as VP. What a duo that would be?!

My sincere apologies Dino, I mistook you for a conservative Republican. Now that I know where you're coming from your comments make more sense. What chaffs me is conservative Republicans dissing Mitt Romney who really is a true conservative. Thanks for your correction! so who do you want to see in the White House next year? I'm voting for Romney, but if the Dems win, I hope it's Obama.

Let me just make it clear that I'm not Rino. I'm am an outright Democrat yet I'm just loving this site set up by the MassGOP. Bravo to them. I MOST DEFINATELY support gay rights to marry and raise kids because it's morally right and denying important legal rights and protections to a group of people is morally wrong. Same-sex marriage hasn't harmed a fly here in Massachusetts. People are happy here, the sky hasn't fallen, and I personally still attend church regularly and I'm homosexual. People need to get with the times and realize that the "Fight for Gay & Lesbian Equality" is the next great civil rights chapter in modern American history. If conservatives, and religious leaders have their way, discrimination and inequality will continue plaguing our country. I dislike Mitt Romney because he claim's he's the saviour to the traditional family. New's flash to Romney—what is a traditional family? This country is a patchwork quilt of many races, languages, and cultures. The gay community is a part of that quilt and deserves every right and respect from their brother and sister of this country. I know many gay parents who bring up very loving families with smart and well educated children. Believe it or not, all their children are STRAIGHT too. Gay parents do not equal more gay kids. They produce more open-minded and accepting children that know how to respect others more than any conservative mind. The end.

sorry, he actually changed his stance on abortion 3 years ago, not 4, but certainly not what I would call "months".

  14. zuka said on Mar 12 2007, 12:43 PM:

sounds like your the rino, dino. do you support gay rights to marry and raise kids? your "equal rights for everyone" implies that. Mitt is a true conservative who believes that equal rights need to be extended to children who need to be raised in a home with a mom and a dad, and even the younger kids that aren't born yet. Be careful how you paint Romney. The comment posted earlier that he's changed his stance in the last few months can only be true if "months" means around 50 months, as his stance did change in regard to some issues. He's been very firm in his standing ever since. doesn't sound like a "pattern of change" to me. Give the guy a break! "Flip-flopper" means going back and forth on issues. People keep calling him that, Why? he's only changed his stance once, not back and forth like a tennis match. And he did it long enough ago that he govened Massachusetts that way for practically his entire term. He may not be the man for president, I personally like Obama, but c'mon guys, Look at what the man represents now. See what he's saying, and if it's what you like to hear, don't slam him for being different years ago. People in politics change. It is a natural fact, every president for the last 28 years have change their stance on some issue or other. Don't be so set in your mind that he's a bad dude. He's not. Consider your conservative ideals and just listen to the guy. Anyway, that's all I have to say. (which is more that I thought I would, sorry! :)

Whether or not Mitt Romney is conservative, this country needs not to elect another phony Republican candidate. Here's the truth—people like Mitt Romney are not bringing people together for a more unified nation —He and people alike are tearing us apart. I ask you to join Massachusetts & I, as well as a myriad of other level headed citizens of this country in support of EQUALITY! equal rights for everyone from liberal to conservatives. show some love guys.

Romney chose to live in Massachusetts for 30 years, and he chose to raise his family there. Doesn't sound too conservative to me.

Is Willard a true conservative? We can never know. WHat we do know is that he has a pattern of changing positions on important issues to improve his proximate electability.

Romney is a RINO (Republican In Name Only). Sure...he appears to be more conservative than McCain and Rudy...but that is only because he morphed into a conservative a few months back and they hold firm to their positions and record. Romney only changes his positions before an election to appease that audience. If he cared about Republicans, why didn’t he stay longer and actually reform Massachusetts like he promised. Rather than rebuild the Mass GOP he spent his time and our money out of state running for President. Rather than run for re-election, he bolted knowing that all the smoke and mirrors in the world couldn't fool us for much longer. Thanks to him, we lost the Governor's office and now have a liberal Dem the likes of which we've never seen... America, don't be fooled, don’t let Romney do to you what he did to us...

In my view, Mitt Romney, our state's former Governor has done nothing but divide by forcing his moral convictions on an exceedingly diverse population. Seeing how he handled the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I couldn't bare to see this country elect another artificial schmuck in 2008. A candidate who changes his platform and stances for a GOP vote, isn't someone who can clean up this current mess of a government.

He's handsome, wealthy, articulate, nice family, but a complete phoney, using the governorship of Massachusetts as a stepping stone to the presidency. He did little for the state and less for the Republican party.

  22. Seth said on Mar 10 2007, 08:55 PM:
